Grab’s latest 4-hour delivery is the most affordable app-based motorcycle courier delivery service in Metro Manila and is a game-changer in the industry. The company uses its large availability of motorcycle riders to deliver goods more efficiently, while passing the savings to consumers in the form of lower prices.
How does Grab do this? It is similar to how the company introduced GrabShare as a more affordable alternative to GrabCar: they combine multiple deliveries and assign those deliveries to one motorcycle delivery rider who then makes multiple stops. This is a very welcome innovation that consumers will appreciate during this restricted period wherein we need to have items delivered and save money at the same time.
The savings are quite material. Grab only charges Php79 for deliveries up to 15km and Php99 for anything beyond that. Note that these deliveries are limited to a 5kg and 30km maximum weight and distance respectively.
The downside is that it will take longer for your rider to arrive and the exact time that your delivery will arrive would be harder to predict. So if your delivery is very urgent, the better option would be Grab Express Instant. However, most of us do not need instant deliveries, especially when huge savings are the tradeoff. When comparing Grab’s 4-Hour delivery service to other express delivery options, the savings can reach Php40 to Php140 per delivery.
For urgent motorcycle deliveries, you can use Grab, Lalamove, Mr Speedy or the other local providers such as Joyride, HappyMove, Moveit and Toktok. The prices are similar on all the platforms but Grab has superior insurance protection. For larger deliveries you can use Transportify or Lalamove. The prices of both apps are the same but Transportify has better service quality, superior insurance and greater service coverage (entire Luzon).
Overall Grab Express 4-hour delivery is a great cost-saving reliable option for anyone who uses app-based motorcycle delivery. Customers will surely appreciate the company’s continued innovation in the delivery space, pushing the other players to catch up. Congratulations and thank you Grab.
